Rana Fahoum was appointed as the CEO of the Jerusalem International YMCA in February 2019 after serving 4 years as a board member at the Y. Prior to her position at the Y, she worked at the Ministry of education as a superintendent responsible for elementary education in EAST Jerusalem, including the vocational training of teachers and school principals.

Rana established a school in East Jerusalem in her twenties and was a school principal for 14 years. She taught at the Hebrew University and other academic institutions. She has is a graduate of the Mandel Leadership program and a member of the Maoz network. She has a Masters degree in Linguistics and another Masters in Political Science. Rana is a  feminist and activist. She is the mother of 3 children and lives in Jerusalem.
